Get Ready to Rumble

Hey Readers!
First and foremost, we,  the organizing committee would like to wish you all a happy new year even though it is maybe a little late. Hope a year full of success and happiness awaits and......of course will be able to come to this not-to-be-missed event! 


Moving on, here is the run through or the schedule of events being held in ACEX Labspart 2011 complete with a short explanation that will kick off on the 21st of February. Details regarding the technical meeting will also posted very soon so keep your eyes peeled and prepare yourself! 


Labsky Competition (21st and 24th of February).
Mathematics Competition with OSN materials for 5th and 6th graders.


LABSPART (28th February - 5th March)
★ Basketball (participants : Junior High School Students -- Girls & Boys)

★ Table Tennis (participants : Junior High School Students --  boys only)

★ Mini Soccer 6 on 6 (participants : Elementary School and Junior High School Students -- boys only)
Note that the referees are from PERBASI, PTMSI and PSSI

Basketball Coaching Clinic for Teachers (21st - 23rd of February)

- fellow participants: teachers and basketball coach

- the speaker or coach is from Perbasi DKI Jakarta

Story Telling (1st of March)

- A competition where participants will tell Indonesian  tale in English.

- Participants : Elementary School and Junior High School Students (Jabodetabek)

Labsky Foreigner Culture Exchange (4th of March)

Embassies  from a wide range of countries will exhibit their own styles and cultures from all over the world, making the youth more aware of the world's diverse and interesting cultures instead of limiting themselves to just their own culture.

Seminar : Sekolah Berkarakter (5th of March)

- participants : Elementary School and Junior High School teachers.

Talk Show : Pembentukan Karakter dan Etika yang Baik pada Siswa. (5th of March)

Acex & Labspart 2011?

We’re positive that you guys are all pumped for this upcoming event just as much as we all are! Though it’s a shame that not all of you are familiar and aware of the event “ACEX/LABSPART” therefore for this reason we have decided to give a quick explanation regarding this event.

This thrilling occasion is actually divided into two events which are ACEX and LABSPART.  In conclusion these are two entirely different events which are combined into one. This inter-school event organized by Labschool Junior High School is open to elementary school and junior high school students in the Jakarta region. With a theme that is Ancient Egypt, this event will be held throughout February and March.

Moving on, let us introduce you to the event we call, ACEX.

ACEX is the abbreviation of the ASEAN Culture and Science Exhibition. ACEX consists of a variety of activities, competitions, and last but not least exhibitions in the form of multi cultural booths made by our very own students. Competitions held include a mini rocket contest or a science fair and an E-Cup (English Cup) which is roughly a competition to do with the English Language such as storytelling and spelling bee.

Next up is  LABSPART.

LABSPART stands for Labschool Sport and Art. The competitions are to do with sports, meanwhile the art competitions will be informed soon. Basketball, soccer, table tennis are included in this event.

Kay, that’d probably sum up the explanation about ACEX/LABSPART 2011. We all hope you participate and cheer on your beloved school in this annual event!
